What you get for £160 + VAT
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for a home with up to ten circuits and one consumer unit, carried out by a NICEIC Approved Contractor. That is £192 including VAT.
- A full inspection and test of the fixed wiring, sockets, lights and consumer unit
- A written report, coded to the national standard, that you can give to a buyer, a mortgage lender, an insurer or your tenants
- If faults turn up, a detailed estimate for putting them right and a clear route to a safe, satisfactory installation. Nothing is done until you agree to it
To check the size, count the fuses or switches in your fuse box. If you have more than ten, or more than one consumer unit, ask us for an estimate instead.
How the day works
- Mondays and Fridays only, starting at 9am or 1pm
- The test takes two to three hours
- The power will be off at times, and Wi-Fi and anything plugged in will be unreliable while we test. Plan around it if you work from home
- Someone needs to let us in. If you rent the property out, tell your tenants and give us their details in the access notes
Request your slot
Pick a day and time and leave your details. We aim to confirm by phone or email within one working day. Your slot isn’t booked until we confirm it.
We use your details only to arrange and carry out the test, and to send your report. They are never sold or shared for marketing. See our privacy policy.
Not sure you need one?
Our EICR testing page explains when a test is due and what the codes mean. Landlords in England need one at least every five years: see our landlord electrical safety page. For shops, offices and other commercial premises, our sister company Martin Day Commercial Electricians carries out the testing.
