What we stand for
Reliability. We book a time and we keep it. If something changes, we tell you before you are stood waiting.
Quality. Work is done to the current wiring regulations, tested and certified. We are a NICEIC Approved Contractor (registration no. 042510), so the work we do is independently assessed, not just self-declared.
A fair price. Every job gets a written estimate before anything starts. An estimate is our best assessment, not a fixed price. If something comes to light that couldn’t be seen at the start, we tell you what it means for the price before carrying on.
The work we focus on
Electrical testing. Testing is the heart of what we do. An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) tells you what state your wiring is in. If it turns up faults, we give you a detailed estimate for putting them right and a clear route to a safe, satisfactory installation, with nothing done until you agree. Landlords get the certificate the law requires. For commercial premises, our sister company Martin Day Commercial Electricians carries out the testing.
Fault finding and maintenance. Lights that trip, sockets that stop working, a fuse box that keeps cutting out. Tracing the cause takes experience, and it is the kind of job we do every week. See our general electrical maintenance service.
EV chargers, with a real person on the end of the phone. We fit home EV chargers to the regulations, and if you have a question afterwards, you call a local electrician you have met, not a call centre.
About Martin
Martin is Leeds and proud of it, and a Leeds United supporter. He has been married for more than 30 years, and he is a father and a grandfather.
Away from work, he tours Europe and the British Isles by motorbike. He is also a qualified tai chi instructor and has studied the art in Malaysia, China, Germany and Scotland. He has raised money for charity by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a coast to coast bike ride.
